Kent Valley RC are promoting a 10 mile time trial on the L1015 Levens Course on Saturday 11th September 2010. There are 4 Events:
1 Veterans – Men over 40
2 Women & Juniors
3 Tandems
4 Seniors – men under 40
Entries to;
Fred Pickstone
31 Fountain Street
Ulverston
LA12 7EQ
Entry Fee £7.00 – cheques payable to Kent Valley RC please.
Closing date Tuesday 31st August 2010 – this is the day after the bank holiday – so post your entry early please.
We anticipate that all who enter will get a ride.

There’s still the Shap and Back event on Bank Holiday Sunday and our open 25 on Levens on 11th Sept (you need to fill in a CTT Entry Form for that event).

Cleveleys RC have invited us to join them for the Hill Climb from Scorton Cafe next Tuesday … and to hotpot afterwards … Fred is collecting names for the event

The August handicap -
4 rides -
best 3 to count -
riders ranked by handicap and scoring 1 point for 1st, 2points for second -
The winner the rider with the lowest total points.
A rider who marshals for one event will have his time for calculating the handicap for that event.

Your first ride – you are welcome – your time on the first of the events will become your handicap time.

The KVRC annual date fixing meeting will be held on Wednesday 11th August at the Cross Keys, Milnthorpe, after the club 10.
This is a meeting for club members – decisions will be made about next season’s events.
Food is available at £5 per person (Buffet) for those who want to eat … if you’re not hungry, still come to the meeting!!

CTT North District

“Brenda Jackson is standing down as Assistant Secretary (Open Events) at the CTT North District AGM in late September, after over 30 years continuous service. She was North District General Secretary from 1979 until 2008 and the district is indebted to Brenda for the work she has done for time-trialling. Mike Westmorland has also decided not to seek re-election as North District Chairman, though he is prepared to carry on as Treasurer if elected. Anyone interested in either position can find out what is involved by contacting Brenda or Mike via the details on page 29 of the current CTT handbook.”
