Kent Valley Road Club welcomes all cyclists to take part in their summer season of Time Trials. Those who are members of other cycling clubs may ride as a guest and non-members are very welcome to ‘Come and Try’ Time trialling. The only proviso is that if, after taking part in three events a rider wants to continue to ride KVRC events they shall join the club, either as a First Claim or Second Claim Member and agree to join the marshalling rota. Those under 18 need a Parental Consent Form which can be downloaded from the link on the right.

Apart from the KVRC Club Championship 25, the Wilson Memorial 25 and Shap & Back all he Wednesday events are ‘enter on the day’ either by telephoning Askew Cycles after 12 noon on the day of the event – 01539728057 – for a start number or signing on at the event headquarters between 30mins and 10mins before the start of the event. The signing on times apply to all riders, including those who have registered with Askew Cycles.

For Jungle Hilly events sign on at Mint Bridge from 6:30pm on the day.

Kent Valley Road Club recommends that all riders’ wear a helmet and for those under 18 this is compulsory. We also recommend that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whist the machine is in use.

No warming up on the courses after the event has started is allowed.

Riders must not stop at the finsh, especially on the Levens L1015 10 course. The result will always be made available at the event headquarters as soon as possible after the end of the event.

In the interests of safety there will there will be 2 marshalls at the turn for the Milnthorpe 10 who will control the entry of riders onto the northbound carriageway and ALL RIDERS must obey their instuctions.

Milnthorpe 10 – South of the traffic lights at Milnthorpe on the A6 road opposite the fire station (Signing on in Beetham Road Car Park)

Levens 10 – Lay-by on the west bound carraigeway of the A590 approx 500yds west of the junction with the A6 (Signing on will be on the old road to the Sizergh Castle from the A590)

Levens 25 – Lay-by on the west bound carraigeway of the A590 approx 500yds west of the junction with the A6 (Signing on will be in the Car Park of the Gilpin Bridge Inn)

Jungle – Opposite end of dry stone wall at north entrance to Shap Road Industrial Site off A6 Kendal.

Shap & Back – at 30mph sign on North side of Mint Bridge on the A6 Kendal
