Sadly I have to share the news with you all that Peter Knott has died after a short illness. Peter finished runner-up in the O70s category of this season's Lakes and Lancs SpoCo competition and was also an active event organiser. Coming to cycling from a competitive running and orienteering background he had a wide circle of sporting friends and acquaintances. Those who knew Peter are warmly invited to attend his funeral which will be held at Lytham Park Crematorium, Lytham St Annes, FY8 4AB at 2pm on Friday 30th August. Afterwards there will be a gathering at Lindum Hotel, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1LZ to celebrate Peter's life and share memories. If you wish to attend, please let me know and I can let Peter's son, Ian, know so that we can plan the catering accordingly. Richard Belk
